Getac launches new 5G-compatible B360 notebook
Mexico, June 3, 2020 – Getac today unveiled its B360 Fully Rugged Notebook, setting a strong benchmark for innovation in the rugged computing industry. Built from the ground up for 5G technology, the B360 offers unbeatable processing speed, brightness and robustness, making it a highly advanced mobile solution that excels in challenging working conditions.
Maximum speed, brightness and robustness
The B360 is powered by a 10th generation Intel® Core™ processor, making it the fastest fully rugged laptop on the market, capable of running a large number of applications simultaneously without affecting performance. In addition, its standard 1400-nit FHD display (the highest brightness offered in Getac’s line of computers) is second to none in the fully rugged notebook category.
When it comes to reliability, Getac builds all of its rugged devices from scratch, and the B360 is no exception. The IP66 rating ensures that it is fully protected against the ingress of dust, high pressure water jets and spills. The device can also withstand drops of up to 1.82m in operation, while the latest MIL-STD 810H certification gives users complete confidence in its robustness.
Available in two specific models for different industries
The B360 is part of the Getac Select® Program, which draws on Getac’s vast experience in the industry to create end-to-end rugged computing solutions for specialized applications for each industry. That’s why we’re offering two different models at launch: the B360, ideal for the public safety, utility, and manufacturing industries, and the B360 Pro, optimized for the defense industry.
B360: In addition to offering unbeatable speed, brightness, and ruggedness, the B360 is the thinnest and lightest fully rugged notebook in its class. Being just 34.9mm thick and weighing just 2.32kg, it can be carried and operated for long periods of time without causing user fatigue. Despite being so compact, the B360 has a large 13.3” screen with LumiBond® 2.0 technology for maximum use in any situation or weather condition. The latest 802.11ax Wi-Fi gives you wireless speeds up to three times faster than previous generations. Dual hot-swap batteries as standard ensure smooth operation for full shifts between charges, while optional GPS makes it easy for you to quickly map, survey and track in the field.
The B360 meets the requirements for FirstNet Ready™ and Verizon Responder Private Core, which means it can connect to America’s dedicated public safety networks right out of the box. Plus, the optional barcode reader makes collecting information at an incident scene quick and convenient.
B360 Pro: The B360 Pro includes all of the core technology specifications of the B360, plus a host of additional features and configuration options that are vital to military personnel. High-capacity batteries with hot-swap technology provide even more runtime between charges, while additional serial ports allow traditional and/or custom military equipment to be connected directly to the device. Additionally, we offer the option to add a PCMCIA, ExpressCard, or discrete graphics card, as well as a DVD or Blu-Ray drive, as needed.
